Driving Directions To the Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston Hotel
Directions from Dulles (IAD):
Dulles International Airport is about 22 miles west of the hotel. Driving time is approximately 30 minutes (non-rush hour).
- From Dulles Airport, take the Dulles Airport Access Road
- This road becomes VA-267E.
- Continue East toward Arlington/Washington DC
- VA 267E becomes I-66 East
- Take Exit 71 - Glebe Rd./Fairfax Drive
- Slow down! Hotel is on the right, at the first stoplight.
Directions from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
Route Option #1: No time-of-day restrictions
- Take George Washington Parkway North, approx. 4 miles to Spout Run exit (on left).
- Take Spout Run 1 mile; cross Lee Hwy/Rte. 29. Name changes to Kirkwood Rd. Continue 1 mile,
- Turn right onto N Fairfax Drive, proceed 1 mile to hotel on left.
Route Option #2: Not to be used during afternoon rush hour, approx. 3PM-7PM:
- From airport, proceed toward US-1/Interstate 66
- Take the US-1 North ramp toward I-395 North/Washington/I-66 West.
- Turn slight right onto US-1 N/Jefferson Davis Hwy for approx 3 miles.
- Merge onto I-66 W toward Front Royal/Dulles Airport (HOV restriction: Mon-Fri 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM)
- Take the VA-120/Glebe Rd exit, EXIT 71
- Turn left onto VA-120 S/N Glebe Rd
- Turn right onto N Fairfax Dr. Holiday Inn at 4610 N FAIRFAX DR is on the left
Directions from BWI Airport and the NORTHEAST
Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is about 45 miles away. Driving time is approximately 1 hour.
- Take I-95 South toward Washington
- Exit onto I-495 (“Outer Loop of the Beltway”) West toward Silver Spring, MD
- Continue on I-495 toward Northern Virginia
- Take I-66 East (left exit) toward DC
- Take Exit 71 - Glebe Rd./Fairfax Drive
- Slow down! Hotel is on the right, at the first stoplight.

From Downtown Washington DC:
- Take I-66 West 5 miles.
- Take Exit 71 for Glebe Rd.
- At top of ramp, turn left onto Glebe Rd South (VA 120)
- Turn right at the third light onto North Fairfax Drive.
- The hotel is on the left.
From Tysons Corner and points West of Washington, DC:
- Take I-66 East toward Washington DC.
- Take Exit 71 for Glebe Road / Fairfax Drive.
- The hotel is located on the right as you come off the exit, at the first stoplight.
From Points Northeast of Washington, DC (New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore):
- Take I-95 South toward Washington DC.
- Exit onto I-495 West toward Silver Spring. (Interstate 495 is also known as the Capital Beltway.)
- Continue on I-495 toward Virginia.
- Take Exit 12 for I-66 East (left exit), toward Washington DC. From I-66 East, take Exit 71 for Glebe Road / Fairfax Drive.
- The Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston hotel is located on the right as you come off the exit, at the first stoplight.
From Frederick, Rockville, and Bethesda:
- Take Interstate 270 South.
- Take Interstate 495 South toward Northern VA. (Interstate 495 is also known as the Capital Beltway.)
- Take Exit 12 for I-66 East (left exit), toward Washington DC.
- Take Exit 71 for Glebe Road / Fairfax Drive.
- The hotel is located on the right as you come off the exit, at the first stoplight.
From Annapolis:
- Take Route 50 West toward Washington DC.
- Exit onto Interstate 495 North toward Baltimore. (Interstate 495 is also known as the Capital Beltway.)
- Continue on I-495 West toward Silver Spring.
- Continue on I-495 toward Virginia.
- Take Exit 12 for I-66 East (left exit), toward Washington DC.

From Richmond and points South:
- Take Interstate 95 North toward Washington DC.
- Take I-395 North toward Washington DC.
- Take the exit for Glebe Road North, Exit 7B.
- Follow Glebe Road for approximately 3 miles.
- Make a left on Fairfax Drive.
- The hotel is on the left-hand side at 4610 North Fairfax Drive.
From The Pentagon and Route 50 (Arlington Boulevard):
